I am trying to remodel my loft so that I can have an old bird section and a young bird section connected to my breeding loft, and I am wondering what is a good size flying loft? (dimensions would be helpful, include length, width and height.) Thanks.

And what side of the loft will be better to place the fly pen with your dimensions?

My limitation is that the length of my loft right now is 10 1/2 feet long, and I was thinking of making a two loft that is 4 ft by (something, this is where your ideas come in), one on the left and one on the right so that there is a 2 1/2 feet opening in the middle of the loft where the door would be at. This would not increase the length, but instead the width of the original loft.

Are you go going to be using it as a hold over kit for adults or to store stock birds? If u are using it so you can fly them, then a 4x4x4 would be an ideal box. This would fit about 20 to 25 birds in it.

sorry for not clarifying. I meant a loft for homers, not rollers.

Thanks Kou. I thought so too. I see a lot of people having that dimension loft, but just wanted to see what other's had in mind.
