From my experience, my birds exercise better in the mornings... It's best to let them out 30 minutes after sun rise, helps them get use to the sun. Wink

one question for the racers. when do the truck usually let birds out of the truck? mornings mid day or evenings? or it depends on the distance or theres nothing involve just whenever it gets there and settle down?

i also like to go with morning time too when i had my birds.

I think it is but I'm sure many people have different views.

how long are all your kits staying up.. lately my youngs this year have been going up higher and flying longer (like an hour to an hour and a half) on hotter days.. I even cut back on their feed and seem to not make a difference..

I've read on a forum that they are going up higher cus its cooler than when they are lower... but just want to see how other guys here in MN are experincing the same or not...

Its quite windy this week to let birds out. But its good training i let mines out in the evening 2 hours before sunset. If they fly long it means there healthy and are coming into form or are in form.

Kou, I agree with you about this week's weather. It sucks big time! No good weather. Always cloudy, humid, misty, and wet and blah...

Every morning I wake up hoping the the sun will be up, but only wake up to disappointments and wetness and cloudiness. Man this sucks. But I still do fly my bird, just not with the times that I want them to be flying. I like routines.

You guys should also let them out early too so they can adjust their clocking system, I would recommended when birds are darken. I also like to road train them early in mornings and 30 minutes before sun set.
